Ticketmaster boycott!
We recently tried to get tickets for the Elton John farewell concert in Finland. Unfortunately Ticketmaster took our money when there were no tickets left. I'm not sure how that's even possible. So not only were we left with the disappointment of not getting tickets, we were also out of pocket to the tune of several hundred euros. To add insult to injury it took a painful three weeks to extract a refund from Ticketmaster. They make it extremely difficult for you to contact them about such things.
My conclusion is that the company is bit of a shambles. It sounds like they have totally ineffective systems and procedures to deal with anything out of the ordinary. I wonder if they even care. With such a high turnover they can afford to ignore such irritations. Customer service is almost non-existent. They are of course very quick to take your money but have no interest in resolving disputes with the same speediness. Unfortunately they seem to have bit of a monopoly so you may not have any choice but to use them. Yes, many thousands of people use them and do get there tickets without any problems but that doesn't make them a good company. A good company cares about it's customers and puts in place an effective transparent system for resolving customer complaints QUICKLY. It's not that hard.
So, I would recommend you do not use them unless you really have to. Perhaps there will come a time when they get their act together but in the meantime they remain top of my 'DO NOT USE' list.
My sympathies to all the hardworking Ticketmaster staff who are doing their best but severely hampered by ineffective procedures.
